EPK (English Version)

Johnny Rocky is a singer, bassist and songwriter based in the city of Aachen, Germany. Since he loves loves punk rock and heavy metal, he decided to start a new project that plays fast punk rock with a touch of heavy metal. He invited a few friends into the rehearsal room and by February 2018 he had put together a stable line-up consisting of Johnny himself (vocals, bass), Bobby Paceman (guitar), Matt McHazeman (guitar), and Betty Boom (drums).

Johnny Rocky and the Weekend Warriors recorded their first demo in the Summer of 2018. The resulting EP with ten tracks was released in 2019 on MegaBell Records, it is available as a physical CD and on various streaming services including Spotify. The EP was recorded and mixed at Big Easy Studio in Hennef, Germany. It was mastered by Howie Weinberg at Howie Weinberg Mastering, who has previously worked for bands such as Misfits, Ramones, and Nirvana.

Since their first live appearance in November 2018, JR have played a series of concerts, building themselves a solid fan base in their home region. The local newspaper „Aachener Zeitung“ has described them as a „new hot punk rock act“. Their music can be heard on the local radio station „Antenne AC“ and on various online radio stations.

In 2021 the band signed a deal with Rock Zone Records and released their first full-length album „Call Me“. To promote the album, they played a couple of concerts, including a show as support for German punk rock pioneers Abstürzende Brieftauben.
